E. King Collison. A Memorial service for Mr. E. King Collison will be held on July 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook, IL. Interment will follow in the memorial garden of the church. Born March 12, 1919 in Chicago, the son of the late Edgar King and Irene, nee Seward Collison, he died July 12, 2006 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, IL. Mr. Collison was a graduate of Evanston Township High School and DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and also the DePauw University swim team. Mr. Collison served as a naval officer in the Pacific during World War II. Mr. Collison worked for the George A. Fuller Company as a project manager helping to oversee, the construction of, among others, the Prudential Building, the Borg Warner Building and the Portland Cement Company. Mr. Collison lived in Northbrook for 54 years before moving to Arlington Heights last year. He was a member of the Village Presbyterian Church, the LST (Landing Ship Tank) Association, and The Dad’s of DePauw Students (Glenview/Northbrook Chapter) and a former member of the Union League Club of Chicago. Mr. Collison was the beloved husband of the late Muriel, nee Martin Collison. He is survived by his daughter Jane (Morris) Rosenbaum; a son Edgar King III (Deborah) Collison; his grandchildren, Matthew King Rosenbaum, Amanda Alice Rosenbaum, Muriel Jane (Jerry) Elrod and Edgar King IV (Julie) Collison and nephew John (Maryanne) McBride; nieces Patty (Stephen) Shafer, Judy Northrup, Deborah Pritchard and Barbara Christie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Village Presbyterian Church or DePauw University.
