Gabrielle Union (below) has no problem playing gay–even if family disagrees.
The “Deliver Us from Eva” star tells Out magazine that some in her family questioned her decision to play a lesbian in the upcoming movie “Running With Scissors.” (Union co-stars as Annette Bening’s lover.)
Union’s reply: “But you had no problem when I was in movies as a lap dancer or killing, like, 50 people. Why get riled up when I’m playing someone who happens to find love with another woman?”
Besides, she tells the magazine, “You haven’t really made it until you’ve got the gay rumors. I’ve tried, but it never seems to take.”
