Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There have been articles in the Tribune recently about unruly parents who attend sporting events in which their children are involved.

There is a simple solution that many communities have adopted with great success.

All visitors to a game are handed a sheet that tells them that “Visitors are expected to be respectful at all times. Their behavior should make them role models for the children. Raucous shouting, name-calling, deprecating remarks about players, coaches or umpires are not acceptable. Violators will be removed from the premises.”

The school should hire two off-duty police officers to enforce this code.
