Josef J. Ceisel, 83, of North Barrington, beloved husband for 56 years of Sophie, nee Wesserle; loving father of Albert (Brenda), Marge (Frank Lucente) Schultes, Chris (Tim) Schmuker and Edie Ceisel; loved Opa of Ryan (Nicole), Joe, Scott, Jessica, Janette and Peter; dear brother of Jakob (Mina) and the late Rudolf; fond brother-in-law of Hedi Ceisel; and adored uncle of many nieces and nephews. Born in Deutsch-Proben, Slovakia on Feb. 27, 1923. Immigrated to the United States in 1952. Co-founded North Suburban Masonry (presently Ceisel Masonry, Inc.) in the early 1960’s. Visitation 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights and 9 a.m. Monday, until the time of Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington.
