A former Chicago firefighter who turned to dealing drugs to pay for his own addiction was sentenced Thursday to 2 years and 11 months in prison and fined $100,000. William Torpy, 50, also must forfeit his Morgan Park home because he used it as a base for cocaine deals. He also is required to surrender two cars, and he already has handed over $145,000 in ill-gotten gains, prosecutors said.
