Last October, when the White Sox won the World Series, I told my neighbor who is a Sox fan and who was so happy over the fact of their winning that the really hard season for them would be next year, when they try to repeat.
Well although the White Sox ran quite a race, they slumped badly during the last couple of weeks. As hard as it is for a team to win a championship, it is much harder to repeat, as the past several years have shown. It strongly indicates that many of those old teams that the Yankees had deserve a lot of credit, as many of them repeated their success the following years after winning the World Series the previous year.
