I think that only Barack Obama can decide if this is the right time for him to run.
And the answer comes down to the age-old question of whether he has the proverbial “fire in the belly” needed to run and win.
If he believes he can fully commit to developing substantive ideas for solving the problems he has so clearly identified and selling those ideas in the American political marketplace, then I have no doubt he could succeed, and I would be happy to cast my vote for him.
