– Henry Hyde, a suburban Chicago Republican, may be leaving Congress, but his name will live on in the Capitol. The House voted Tuesday to place Hyde’s name on a ceremonial meeting room for the International Relations Committee.

– Officials from Amman, Jordan, are on a fact-finding tour this week at the Chicago Children’s Museum. They are with the Children’s Museum opening soon in Amman, which is a sister city of Chicago’s.

– Eddie Murphy and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown may have dated earlier this year, but the actor-comedian isn’t sure he’s the father of her unborn child. “I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test,” Murphy says.

– “American Idol” season five winner Taylor Hicks’ new self-titled CD, due Tuesday, will include songs written by Bryan Adams, Rob Thomas and Marvin Gaye, reports Entertainment Weekly.

– Luciano Pavarotti, 71, who recently completed treatment for pancreatic cancer, won’t attend a ceremony this week to receive an award. It would have been the tenor’s first public appearance since undergoing surgery over the summer.

– Farrah Fawcett also has completed cancer treatment. Fawcett, 59, who starred on the ’70s TV series “Charlie’s Angels,” reportedly is doing well.

– Jackie Chan reinjured his chest while filming a fight scene for “Rush Hour 3.” Chan, 52, was hit by a steel-reinforced wooden table.

– “Scrubs” actress Sarah Chalke is engaged to longtime beau Jamie Afifi, says E! Online. Afifi proposed while the couple was vacationing in Hawaii.
