Earestine Margaret Alexander, born on Sunday, Oct. 19, 1919, in Chicago, IL, made her Transition to eternal life on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006. She was one of five children born to the late Earl Thomas Wilson and the late Lillian Viola (Butler) Wilson. Earestine married Wendell Wayne Alexander on Wednesday, July 5, 1944, and they had one son Earl who gave them four grandchildren Brian (Monique), Allison, Morgan and Lucas. She also has one great-grandchild Aneya (Brian). She is survived by two sisters Lelia Marion Edgerton and Barbara Duke (Eli Duke). In addition she is survived by five nieces, seven nephews and several cousins. She completed her academic studies for nursing at Loyola, Chicago. She completed nurses training at Provident Hospital Chicago, IL. Earestine was a nurse in the United States Army and honorably discharged on Oct. 4, 1945. She was active in the Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder, pianist and a delegate to the Presbytery and the General Assembly. Memorial Services are to be held at Berkeley Hillside Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at 10:30 a.m.
