Robert R. Plechaty, age 80, WWII Army Veteran Staff Sgt., passed away Jan. 5, 2007, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for 60 years of Arline F. Plechaty, nee Fudell; loving father of Robert M. (Joyce) Plechaty, Mark W. (Rosalie) Plechaty and Becky (Kevin) Howley; dear grandfather and “Chief” of Corby (Cori) Plechaty, Rhoby VanDerLip, Kate Plechaty, Colin Plechaty, Connor Howley and Brian Howley; great-grandfather of Carlie and Caylie Plechaty and Riley and Randall VanDerLip; dear brother of Marshall (Mary) Plechaty and the late Roger (late Carol) Plechaty; fond uncle of nieces and nephews. Mr. Plechaty was the founder of the family business, Ware-Pak, Inc. in 1963 and retired after 28 years of service in 1991. Visitation Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 7000 S. Madison Street, Willowbrook. Funeral service Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. prayers, at the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
