I have nothing against Gerald Ford. What disgusts me about the whole Ford funeral extravaganza is that he was being lionized just for being a “decent man.” That used to be the standard for all men! What a mockery of the standards for the highest office in the land. I almost got sick at the encomiums pouring out from the very people who lowered the bar. Maybe they are worried about their own obsequies.
