Why don’t we let parents of poor inner-city children have “school choice”? Why are we afraid to give school vouchers to these good parents so their children can attend the schools of their choice? Private schools–religious or secular–are willing and able to educate these children, and with proven success. . Often, for ideological and partisan motives, we condemn millions of poor inner-city children to a life of poverty, suffering and frustration. In a globalized and competitive world, America will suffer for what it’s doing to the poorest in our society. Let’s try school vouchers. They may just work.
