Coffee is the new crutch for American workers, according to a recent survey by WorkPlace Media, a direct marketing group based out of Mentor, Ohio. Approximately 83 percent of the working Americans surveyed said they need a jolt of java to get them through the day. In fact, coffeebeat out other popular coping methods.
– 28 percent of surveyed workers chew gum to achieve peace of mind.
– 25 percent prefer to eat during the workday.
– 10 percent select cigarettes as their coping method of choice.
