Carl “Daddy Man” Malitz, died Jan. 26, 2007, after suffering brain trauma subsequent to a bypass procedure. Born June 20, 1936, in Chicago, IL. Carl and his cousins often reminisced about their days at Von Steuben High, his alma mater. An avid tennis player, Carl loved cooking and was a devoted pet owner to his gentle dog, Baby. His co-workers at Central Tire Company will deeply miss his humor and spirit. “Grandpa Carl” will always be remembered by his grandchildren as warm and affectionate.
