– The parents of the woman killed in an accident involving Brandy filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday against the ex-“Moesha” star. The suit, filed by Ahmed Aboudihaj and Zohra Labridi, alleges that “Brandy was driving recklessly” when she struck Awatef Aboudihaj in Los Angeles.

– “Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison should be charged with felony gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs for a crash that killed a teen passenger and injured two others, police said Wednesday. Garrison’s Land Rover struck a tree in Beverly Hills on Dec. 2, killing 17-year-old Vahaghn Setian.

– Despite a move to a new time slot and a massive marketing effort, Monday’s newly repackaged Miss America Pageant got a smaller, albeit younger, audience. About 2.4 million viewers watched Country Music Television’s prime-time crowning of Miss Oklahoma Lauren Nelson on Monday, according to Nielsen ratings released Wednesday.

– Keith Urban, who recently completed treatment for an alcohol problem, will be the musical guest when Forest Whitaker hosts “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 10.
