As a person who loves animals, I find any condo association rule that bans pets to be nearly incomprehensible.

For that reason I would never live in a place that doesn’t allow pets.

That being said, though, if you decide to live in a condo building with an association, you agree to abide by the rules and regulations of said association.

If you choose to ignore those rules, you have no right to complain when you are caught.

Those who broke the rules by keeping pets are the ones at fault, not the people who must enforce the rules and regulations.

I can sympathize with people being forced to choose between living in their homes or giving up their beloved cats.

However, they broke the rules.

They must act like adults and face the consequences of their actions.
