Webster E. LaVette, of Racine, WI, died at Becker Shoop Nursing home on May 7, 2007. He was born in Chicago, IL on May 9, 1916, the eldest son of Webster and Mary LaVanche, nee Lynch LaVette. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was retired from Bucyrus Erie in South Milwaukee as a purchasing agent. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diana, nee Pieri; daughters, Ellen (Jack) Brouwers, Christine (LaMarr) Thomas, his son, Jeffrey (Bonita) LaVette; and stepson, Dan Erickson; also eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He and his wife loved to play golf and spent 15 years in Tucson, AZ after he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marie, his brother, Donald, stepdaughter, Sherrie (Erickson) Meline and stepdaughter-in-law, Linda Erickson.
