– I’m a big fan of “NCIS” and Cote de Pablo. What can you tell me about her, and where can I write her? — Mark Arrowsmith, Columbus, Ohio

After Sasha Alexander’s character was killed off at the end of season two of the CBS series, executive producer Donald P. Bellisario said he was considering an actress with foreign roots as her replacement. Enter the Santiago, Chile-born de Pablo, who didn’t have many television credits other than the Fox series “The Jury” and one episode of Richard Dreyfuss’ CBS show “The Education of Max Bickford.”

However, in 2005, the actress made a mark in San Francisco and Broadway stagings of “The Mambo Kings,” based on the same-named movie. You can write to her in care of CBS Paramount Television, 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City, CA 91604.

– I read somewhere that the actress who plays Meredith’s mother on “Grey’s Anatomy” is the daughter of a well-known actor, but I can’t remember who. Do you know who her father is? — Julie Hoggatt, Grand Junction, Colo.

Kate Burton — who has played Ellis Grey on the hit ABC medical drama — is the daughter of the late, legendary actor Richard Burton. Her mother is the stage and screen actress Sybil Williams, who was Richard’s first spouse, prior to his two famous marriages to Elizabeth Taylor.

– Tom Selleck has made several Jesse Stone movies for CBS. “Stone Cold” has been released on DVD; can you tell me when the others, “Night Passage” and “Death in Paradise,” will be released? — Lynn McDonald, Alexandria, Va.

The latter two movies are scheduled to be released June 12 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. As it happens, there’s now a fourth movie in the series: Selleck will return as novelist Robert B. Parker’s small-town lawman character in “Jesse Stone: Sea Change” May 22 on CBS.

– What has Paula Cale been doing since “Providence”? She did such a great job as Joanie. — Ed Bennett, Oak Harbor, Wash.

Here’s another case of a former series regular who mainly pops up as a guest star these days. Also featured on “Murphy Brown” for a while, Cale has among her more recent credits “Ghost Whisperer,” “Twins,” “Joey” and last fall’s short-lived “Twenty Good Years.”
