Charles Wangrow, 87, of Harvard, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the VA Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. WWII Veteran of the United States Army, served in the Phillippine Islands and Okanawa with the 485th AAA for a total of three years. He was a member of VA Post 5137, Medina, OH, for many years, born May 8, 1920, Chicago, IL, he was a shop foreman for Metal Box and Cabinet Co. in Chicago for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, nee Yurk, of 43 years; his children, Shirlee (Al) Hansen of Belvidere, IL, Cindy (Gary) VanGeenen of Wonderlake and Chuck Wangrow of Carpentersville; six grandchildren, Jeanne, Chris, Bob, Chuck, Dave and Pat; 12 great-grandchildren; brother of Richard (Janet) Wangrow and some of the best sister-in-laws a guy could ask for. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Edward, Henry and Harold. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
