William E. Ward, age 88, of Lansing, IL, Army of the United States, Veteran of WWII. Beloved husband of Dolores L., nee Wendt; loving stepfather of Dorene (William) Glotz; cherished grandfather of four and great-grandfather of four; dear brother of Helen (the late Emmett) McMann; proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Rick who is now reunited with his dad, brothers, Michael and George Ward and sister, Gertrude Riess-Burns. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10 a.m. from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing with Rev. Thomas Heren officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
