Iva E. Cook, 83, of St. Charles, IL, formerly of Salem, IN, passed away Sunday, May 27, at her home. Mrs. Cook was born March 12, 1924, in McKinley, IN, the daughter of Roy C. and Amanda Williams Peek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon D. “Jack” Cook; a brother, Donovan Peek; two sisters: Lorel Rafferty and Vivian Hughes; and her parents. She is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie Gleason of Grove, OK, and a grandson, James Gavitt of Chicago, IL. Before retiring, Mrs. Cook worked as a product tester at Furnas Electric in Batavia, IL. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Weathers Funeral Homein Salem, IN. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
