Madelynn Martino, age 63, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She is survived by her three nephews: Tom (Karlene) Runge, Greg and Bruce Voss; and her niece, Karen Bruce. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Martino; her brother, Harold Voss; her sister, Verna Mae Runge and parents, Fred C. Voss and Amanda I., nee Schultz. She was a school teacher for 36 years and retired from Lane Tech in Chicago. She also officiated Track and Field and Swimming events statewide and is a recent inductee to the Illinois Track and Cross Country Officials Association Hall of Fame. Madelynn was a longtime Lansing resident and a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed swimming and running and was a fan of women’s basketball. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Lansing, 18100 Wentworth Avenue. Private Interment following at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
