Dr. Roy N. Sperlazzo, 83, of Arlington Heights, died March 17, 2007 at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL. Born in Johnston City, IL, he worked as an optometrist in Chicago for 39 years. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Doctors Without Borders, American Legion, V.F.W., Elks and Moose Club. Survivors include a son, Robert D., Carpentersville, IL; two daughters, Paula D. Kloster, Loves Park, IL., and Janet D. Coster, Aptos, CA.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9th, 1:30 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Church, 264 Glen Ellyn Rd., Bloomingdale, IL.
