Joan Blane, 81, nee Fleischman, beloved wife of Jack for 61 wonderful years; cherished mother of Barbara (Rand) Toney, the late Nancy (Tony) Guerra, and John (Deborah) Blane; proud and loving grandmother of Sarah Toney, David Toney, and Nathan Blane. Joan was a volunteer, secretary, library aide, “second mother,” and the heart and soul of Bannockburn School for more than 35 years. She was a true legend for generations. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd. Highland Park, IL. Interment private.
