Frederick E. Bauman, 83, of Wilmette, IL, passed away on June 14, 2007 at Evanston Hospital from complications due to Leukemia. He was born November 12, 1923 in Chicago to Frederick and Wilma Bauman. Beloved husband of Alice Y.; loving father of Lynne Brummel, Yolanda (Alan) Lieberman and Frederick Bauman; proud grandfather of James, Alison and Jennifer Brummel. Mr. Bauman proudly served in the U.S. Navy and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He was trained as a pilot to fly Stearman fighter planes. He graduated from Northwestern University in 1949 and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity where he made many life long friends. Mr. Bauman became an advertising executive for both radio and television. He was an avid reader and traveler and also enjoyed attending travelogues at the Wilmette Library. Mr. Bauman had a love for photography and captured decades of beautiful memories on film. But of all his hobbies, tennis was his true passion. Gratefully, he was still able to play until the age of 80. His loving smile, his gentle face, no one can fill his vacant place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 5 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, 600 9th Street, Wilmette, 847-256-3010. A private interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
