A new version of the 1960’s cartoon “Speed Racer” is set to debut next year on Nickelodeon’s 24-hour cartoon channel, variety.com reports. The new toon will come out around the same time the live-action “Speed Racer” film hits theaters. In the series, young Speed Racer enters a racing academy for the fastest kids on Earth and then discovers that he’s the son of the legendary Speed Racer and that he has a brother, Racer X, who he never knew existed.
