Denzel Washington will receive the BAFTA/L.A. Award for Excellence in Film in November, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Denzel is a remarkably talented actor who always entertains the audience with the rich array of characters that he has portrayed on-screen,” said BAFTA/L.A. chairman Peter Morris. Washington next appears in “American Gangster,” a film about a 1970s Harlem drug lord due out later this year.
