Malcolm E. “Mike” Nelson, of Lake Villa, IL, died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at the age of 75.
Mike is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Gertrude; daughter, Catherine Nelson; granddaughter, Grace; siblings, Betty Sorensen and Kenneth Nelson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, including the Korean War, and was a Mason for almost 50 years.
His retirement was spent woodworking and fixing all things broken.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL. Friends of the family may visit from 1 p.m. until the Service.
