*Salma Hayek has given birth to a baby girl, Valentina Paloma Pinault, her publicist announced Friday. “Mother and child are doing well,” publicist Cari Ross said in a statement. The Mexico-born actress, 41, is engaged to businessman Francois-Henri Pinault.
*Dr. Drew Pinsky will try to clean up yet-unnamed celebs on VH1 for the reality series “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” The first of eight episodes is slated to premiere in January.
*Christopher Bell (below), chorus director of the Grant Park Music Festival, has been named chorus master of the renowned Edinburgh Festival Chorus, effective immediately. The Belfast-born Bell, who makes his home in the Scottish capital, said the appointment will not affect his Grant Park position.
*A Manhattan judge let The Game go free last week on a charge that he impersonated a police officer. The rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, got a conditional discharge, meaning that if he isn’t arrested again within six months, the misdemeanor charge will be dismissed and the case file sealed. Taylor was arrested Nov. 16, 2006, after he told a cabdriver that he was an undercover police officer and directed him to run several red lights, police said after the rapper’s arrest.
