There’s a move in Milwaukee to bronze the Fonz.
Visit Milwaukee, a group that promotes tourism, is leading an effort to raise money for a bronze sculpture of the Fonzie character played by Henry Winkler on “Happy Days,” according to The Associated Press. So far, $45,000 of $85,000 has been raised to commission the statue, the AP reports.
“If it helps the city, a city that has been so supportive and warm to me over the years, then I am so OK with it,” the actor said.
“It’s an honor,” he continued. “But it’s so bizarre to think there should be a statue.”
