Call us biased, but the news biz is where it’s at — just ask Hollywood. Brad Pitt, who’s set to play an investigative reporter in the upcoming film “State of Play,” is the latest in a long list of actors to tap into journalism-related roles. He created a stir last week when he visited the Washington Post’s newsroom to research his new role. He will play Cal McCaffrey, an investigative reporter, in the crime thriller “State of Play,” based on the BBC mini-series of the same title and set to hit theaters in 2008.
