Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is using a little sex appeal to entice voters.
James Denton, who plays sexy plumber Mike Delfino on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” joined Edwards’ eldest daughter Cate on Saturday on the campaign trail in Iowa, The Associated Press reports.
Cate Edwards and Denton, wearing a sweater and jeans, drew dozens of revelers — mostly women — from the hot dog-eating, beer-drinking and party games taking place in a packed University of Iowa parking lot, the AP reports.
Denton, an Edwards supporter in 2004, got in touch with the campaign and offered to attend fundraisers in L.A. and stump in the Heartland.
“I decided I’ll come to Iowa a few times and just do everything I can this time because I really believe he’s the right guy,” Denton said.
