Swiss Business Hub USA, the Trade Commissions of Switzerland to the U.S., is organizing a program called “Mobilizing to Attract Skilled Workers to High-Tech Manufacturing.”

The event is co-sponsored by Boeing Co., Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, International Trade Association of Greater Chicago, National Association of Manufacturers, Swiss Machine Tool Society and Think Swiss, among others.

Some of the scheduled speakers include: Edward Gordon, author of “The 2010 Meltdown: Solving the Impending Jobs Crisis”; Jeff Kelly, chairman of the National Tooling and Manufacturing Association; William Strauss, senior economist and economic adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Douglas Small, deputy assistant secretary for employment and training, U.S. Department of Labor; and Jim Tyree, chief executive of Mesirow Financial.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, 230 S. LaSalle St. The cost is $85, and $65 for each additional registrant from the same company.
