Think the life of a student is simple? Think again.

– No hugs allowed: A new no-hugging policy at Percy Julian Middle School in Oak Park says the school’s 860 students are not supposed to hug anywhere inside the building. It went into effect last month because of administrators’ concerns that so-called “hug lines” in the hallways were making students late for class and causing bottlenecks in the halls.

– Unexpected expulsion: A student at Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Ind., said he expected a suspension but not an expulsion for streaking in front of 3,500 people at a football game while wearing a thong. Spence Stockwell was told by school officials that he would be expelled for the rest of the school year regardless of whether he admitted to the stunt, said his mother, Melynda Tipton.
