America’s just getting over “Chocolate Rain” — now we’re resurrecting “Purple Rain?”

Prince’s signature album has topped Vanity Fair’s list of best soundtracks ever. While the movie is “perhaps the best badly acted film ever,” Vanity Fair’s editors said, the soundtrack is a perfect blend of “funk, R&B, pop, metal, and even psychedelia into a sound that defined the ’80s.”

The list is tied to Movies Rock, a Dec. 2 concert in L.A. celebrating the relationship between music and film. CBS will air the show in a two-hour special on Dec. 7. The rest of the top five soundtracks:

2. A Hard Day’s Night

3. The Harder They Come

4. Pulp Fiction

5. The Graduate
