Devorah E. Sherman, beloved wife of Saul S. Sherman, passed away on March 3, 2008 at the age of 88.
Mrs. Sherman is best known for her philanthropy, political and artistic endeavors in the city of Chicago.
Over the years, Mrs. Sherman served on numerous boards and in 1965 was recognized with the prestigious Thurgood Marshall Award for her work with the NAACP and a State of Illinois Governor’s citation for her steadfast service to the youth of Illinois.
She was a unique woman to have known and her generosity and kindness to the world will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
