*A story and headline in Thursday’s Business section mischaracterized the position Kevin R. Holt is filling at Sears Holdings Corp. As executive vice president of store operations, he is running all Sears and Kmart stores, but he was not named to the specific position of head of one of five umbrella units at Sears.

*In Thursday’s Sports section, a story on the resignation of Sky coach Bo Overton included a quote attributed to Sky owner Michael Alter that actually was spoken by team President Margaret Stender. Alter had no comment. The quote was: “I have respect for Bo,” Stender said. “We appreciate his contributions to the team and we wish him all the best.”

*A correction for Luis Arroyave’s column on Page 2 Thursday incorrectly described Barnsley FC’s league. It plays in the Championship, the second division of England’s professional soccer leagues.

*An article about TiVo in Tempo on Tuesday gave an incorrect code for skipping 30 seconds of recorded video. The correct keypad combination to enter into the TiVo remote is Select-Play-Select-30-Select.

* A March 9 Perspective essay on the partially animated film “Chicago 10” misidentified the actor who provided the voice for Judge Julius Hoffman. It was Roy Scheider.

*A story in the Jan. 3 South-Southwest Metro section about a home invasion in Hickory Hills quoted a detective as saying that a Palos Hills parking lot at 103rd Street and Roberts Road was known for drug activity. Palos Hills police dispute that the parking lot is known for drug activity and said they have reports of only five drug-related crimes at or near that intersection in the past five years.
