Friday marked the 42nd time measurable snow had fallen in Chicago this season. But, the storm responsible reserved its most intense punch for Chicago’s northern suburbs and Wisconsin. The snow was still coming down Friday evening in the Milwaukee area, the region of the Midwest hardest hit by what may well be the heaviest late-season system in more than a quarter century. New snow showers are possible Easter Sunday into Sunday night. The approach of milder air could spawn some snow showers Monday into Monday night.
CHICAGO’S OFFICIAL SNOW SEASON TOTAL APPROACHES 60 INCHES
With another inch or two of snow a good bet over parts of the city overnight, O’Hare’s 57.7-inch seasonal tally was within striking distance of 60 inches–a mark reached only six times before in 123 years of records.
