There’s some sad news in the good life of Kanye West — he and fiance Alexis Phifer have split up.
Phifer, a fashion designer, tells People magazine the two broke up after being engaged for a year and a half.
“It’s always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” she told People. “I wish him the best. … He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.”
Phifer’s statement comes on the heels of recent rumors that the two had hit a rough patch in their relationship.
