SPAIN BOMBING: Suspected Basque separatists bombed police barracks housing officers and their families, killing one person and wounding four. Spain’s government described the attack in the Basque village of Legutiano as an attempted massacre.
SPACE REFRESHMENTS: An unmanned Russian cargo ship blasted off with supplies, equipment and gifts for the International Space Station. A Mission Control spokesman said Progress M-64 carries 2.5 short tons of oxygen, water and food for the crew.
