Four alumni from Loyola Academy in Wilmette and a 16-year-old from Skokie have been charged in connection with the theft of more than $15,000 in computer and video equipment from the school, authorities said Friday.
The thefts occurred in July and January when the five teenagers allegedly entered the school through a basement window and took the equipment, Wilmette police said Friday.
Charged with felony theft from a school are Robert Sloan, 18, of Glenview; and Kevin Markwell, 19; Christopher Sampsell, 19; and Dennis Ryan, 18, all of Chicago. The 16-year-old did not attend the school and his name was not released because he is a juvenile, police said.
