Marie T. Cardott, age 76, of Montgomery, IL, formerly of Palatine, IL, for over 40 years.
Died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Countryside Care Center in Aurora, IL. Marie was born July 24, 1931, in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late John S. and Ella Mae, nee Rice, Scheuer.
Marie’s mother died in child birth, her father then remarried and Marie was raised by her father and his wife Margaret, nee McNamus, Scheuer.
She is survived by her husband William C. Cardott; daughters Cathleen (Richard) Michka, Lisa Cardott, Maribeth (Tim) Smith and Patrice (Mike) VanMaldegiam; sons William (Betsy Carmona) Cardott Jr. and Brian (Kathy) Cardott; and proud grandma to eight.
Her greatest enjoyment was raising her family, gardening and playing bridge with her friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Fr. Marcellus Scheuer, O. Carm.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. during which time a Liturgical Wake service will be conducted, at the McKeown-DunnFuneral Home, Ltd. & Cremation Services at 210 S. Madison St., Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Dan Stempora at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at St. Anne Catholic Church at 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL.
