Tribune sports media reporter Teddy Greenstein lists five things worth your viewing time this weekend:
1. White Sox at Rays, Friday-Sunday, check listings: A battle of American League titans, just as we all predicted in spring training.
2. Rockies at Cubs, Friday-Sunday, check listings: The Alfonso Soriano chronicles are worthy of pay-per-view.
3. NBA playoffs: Celtics at Pistons, Game 6: 7:30 p.m. Friday, ESPN. If the Pistons lose, Rasheed Wallace’s teammates should chip in for anger-management classes.
4. Stanley Cup finals, Game 4: Red Wings at Penguins, 7 p.m. Saturday, WMAQ-Ch. 5: The reason I want this series go seven: ESPN analyst Don Cherry. You see his rainbow-plaid jacket and matching tie?
5. Scripps National Spelling Bee finals: 7 p.m. Friday, WLS-Ch. 7. Sure, the pressure of spelling words such as “zarzuela” might cause the contestants to faint. The good news is that ESPN reporter Erin Andrews will be there to catch their fall.
