*The drummer for the group Hanson is now a first-time father. John Ira Shepherd Hanson was born Tuesday to Zac Hanson and his wife, Kate, in Hanson’s hometown of Tulsa. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. “I am so overjoyed to meet Shepherd,” Zac Hanson said on hanson.net. “There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time.”
*New Kids on the Block has set the date. The newly reunited band, with a sold-out tour kicking things off, plans for Interscope to release its album on Sept. 8.
