Fulton’s on the River reopened Monday after failing two earlier city inspections that found a fruit fly infestation and other health code violations.
The River North restaurant at 315 N. LaSalle St. reopened at 5 p.m. after passing a third inspection Monday morning, said Tim Hadac, a spokesman for Chicago’s Health Department. Fulton’s was shuttered Thursday after inspectors — responding to a complaint from a customer who reported falling ill after eating raw oysters — found hundreds of fruit flies in the kitchen and storage areas.
An inspection Friday found the restaurant neglected to address minor plumbing problems and replace certain floor tiles.
