Since 1994, pugmaster Ben Friedman has hosted more that 30 pug parties. This bi-annual celebration is fun for the entire family — including the dogs! There will be a dog parade and a chance to bring your pug. See other pugs and other breeds of dogs as well. Noon-5 p.m. Saturday. Zella, 1983 N. Congress Theater
Hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes will be in Chicago soon, and you don’t want to miss the show. Get tickets while they are still available. Doc Films is a student-based film society, which features Hollywood classics, experimental films and more. If you like to shop, this event is for you. Shop Chicago features more than 40 designers and boutiques from Chicago and the rest of the world. The event takes place under a tent in the Chase Promenade Plaza and is full of cool items for you to add to your closet. Come prepared to shop till you drop. 2-6 p.m. Saturday.
