A Calumet City couple were found dead in their apartment building Tuesday in what appeared to be a domestic-related murder and suicide, police said.
Police found Darryl Phillips, 39, with a gunshot wound to his back in a rear hallway of the building in the 300 block of Yates Avenue about 4:50 p.m., said police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
His wife, Renay, 47, was found in an apartment with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
