Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s summer series takes place in Chicago’s popular hub for outdoor fun and frolicking. So, before you catch the performance, take a minute to browse all that’s happening around Millennium Park. Then take your seat in the Harris Theater for a program that includes works by HSDC artistic director Jim Vincent (“Slipstream,” a world premiere), Nacho Duato (“Gnawa”) and Alejandro Cerrudo (“Extremely Close”). Part of the series is an interactive (think dancing in your seat) family matinee (3 p.m. Saturday), where tickets — for all ages — are $5. 6:30 p.m. Friday, 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday at Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph St. $25-$86; 312-850-9744, hubbardstreetdance.com
