In the ’80s, they ruled the charts. And on Saturday night, Madonna paid tribute to fellow pop icon Michael Jackson in the same London venue where Jackson was scheduled to perform a 50-show run beginning later this month.
Halfway through the Material Girl’s set, one of her dancers, wearing MJ’s trademark fedora and white glove, mimicked Jackson’s signature dance moves to a medley of his hits, vh1.com reported.
Madonna stood in the background, clapping and dancing along. “Let’s give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known,” she told the audience. “Michael Jackson!”
