Rays 7, Royals 1: Jeff Niemann allowed four hits and struck out seven in eight innings to earn his 10th win for Tampa Bay. Carl Crawford hit a two-run homer.
Angels 11, Twins 6: Maicer Izturis, Juan Rivera and Kendry Morales homered to lead an 18-hit attack for Los Angeles. Justin Morneau homered for Minnesota.
Red Sox 4, Orioles 0: Josh Beckett earned his 13th win, scattering six hits in seven innings. Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia homered for Boston.
Tigers 4, Indians 3: Ryan Raburn singled in the go-ahead run in a two-run 12th inning to lift Detroit. Jhonny Peralta’s sacrifice fly in the ninth tied it for Cleveland.
Mariners 7, Rangers 2: Ken Griffey Jr. belted a three-run homer in the first to kick-start a 17-hit attack for Seattle. Felix Hernandez earned his 12th win.
Blue Jays at Athletics: Oakland manager Bob Geren said that he was hopeful that outfielder Scott Hairston (left quad) would return to the lineup.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Braves 4, Dodgers 3: Diory Hernandez and Greg Norton had RBI singles in the sixth to put Atlanta ahead for good, helping Derek Lowe win his fourth straight.
Cardinals 3, Astros 1: Matt Holliday hit two solo homers and Chris Carpenter earned his 10th win. Holliday is now hitting .606 (20-for-33) for St. Louis.
Pirates 11, Nationals 6: Rookie Andrew McCutchen hit three homers and drove in six runs for Pittsburgh. Virgil Vasquez snapped a five-game skid.
Rockies 6, Reds 2: Seth Smith homered, Ian Stewart drove in two runs and Ubaldo Jimenez struck out eight in eight innings as Colorado won its third straight.
Mets 9, Diamondbacks 6: Angel Pagan hit a grand slam in the eighth to snap a 5-5 tie to lift New York. Mark Reynolds hit his 30th homer for Arizona.
Cubs 9, Marlins 8: Derrek Lee homered in the 10th for Chicago, which blew a 6-0 lead. Emilio Bonifacio’s two-run triple tied it in the ninth for Florida.
Giants 2, Phillies 0: Tim Lincecum struck out eight in eight innings to earn his 12th victory for San Francisco. Philadelphia’s Joe Blanton allowed just two sacrifice flies to Juan Uribe.
Brewers at Padres: Clayton Richard, who was acquired from the White Sox for Jake Peavy on Friday, made his San Diego debut. Mike Burns started for Milwaukee.
